fuego alto, junto con una mitad de cebolla, el diente de ajo picado y 1 cucharadita de sal. Luego, agrega el ma\u00edz y cuando empiece a hervir, baja el fuego a medio, tapa la olla parcialmente y hierve de  30 a 35 minutos, hasta que el ma\u00edz se haya suavizado pero siga firme. Saca y tira la cebolla y el ajo y aparta el ma\u00edz.<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-16578-step-0-2\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Mientras, parte en cuatro la mitad restante de la cebolla y ponla en una charola para hornear junto con los jitomates y los dientes de ajo sin pelar. Asalos con el broiler del horno de 10 a 12 minutos, volte\u00e1ndolos una vez, hasta que se tatemen y los tomates est\u00e9n jugosos y arrugados. Tambi\u00e9n puedes tatemarlos en un comal o sart\u00e9n a fuego medio, volte\u00e1ndolos constantemente.<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-16578-step-0-3\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Cuando se hayan enfriado, pela y pica el ajo y pica la cebolla y los jitomates sin tirar los jugos, la piel o las semillas.<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-16578-step-0-4\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">En una olla grande, calienta el aceite a fuego medio. Cuando est\u00e9 caliente, agrega el ajo, la cebolla y los jitomates picados y cocina durante unos 5 minutos, revolviendo de vez en cuando. Agrega el ma\u00edz y su caldo, as\u00ed como la taza de caldo si la vas a usar y los \u00be de cucharadita de sal restante. Revuelve y deja que se cocine de 7 a 8 minutos m\u00e1s.
