Muchos residentes nos hab\u00edan dicho que los mejores hot dogs estilo mexicano eran los de Richard\u00b4s.<\/p>\n<p>No se sorprendan al o\u00edr hablar sobre hot dogs estilo mexicano incluidos en la cocina nacional, nos encantan. En cada ciudad o pueblo en M\u00e9xico, sin importar lo grande o chico que sea, siempre habr\u00e1 un puesto de hot dogs cerca de un puesto de tacos. Una vez que los pruebes, seguro querr\u00e1s prepararlos as\u00ed de ahora en adelante.<\/p>\n<p>Fuimos a Richard\u00b4s para conocerlo, filmar c\u00f3mo los prepara y probarlos. Cuando viajamos, me encanta compartir la comida que amo con mi equipo de producci\u00f3n. Le ped\u00ed al ingeniero de sonido, Dave, que los probara, esperando que entendiera lo mucho que me gustan. Le ped\u00ed al camar\u00f3grafo, James, que los probara tambi\u00e9n, para que entienda por qu\u00e9 insisto en que prueben cosas que para m\u00ed son deliciosas. Igual le ped\u00ed al director, Dan, a la productora, Allie y bueno, a todos. Si pruebo algo realmente espectacular, realmente quiero compartirlo con mi equipo, sobretodo porque quiero que lo experimenten conmigo. Pero esta vez fue diferente.<\/p>\n<p>Llegamos a Richard\u00b4s, qui\u00e9n fue muy amable y prepar\u00f3 unos hot dogs deliciosos. A diferencia de otras veces, no compart\u00ed ni una mordida y estaba muy callada. No era mi yo normal. Al grado que el director me empez\u00f3 a preguntar, \u201cPati, \u00bfest\u00e1s bien?\u201d Y \u201c\u00bfpor qu\u00e9 no lo muestras a la c\u00e1mara\u201d y \u201c\u00bfpor qu\u00e9 no le das a probar a James o a Dave?\u201d Me desconect\u00e9. S\u00f3lo mov\u00eda mi cabeza y com\u00eda el hot dog muy despacio.<\/p>\n<p>Los hot dogs mexicanos o yo tenemos una larga historia, como seguro la tienen muchos compatriotas m\u00edos. Era una ni\u00f1a, y mi hermana mayor ya manejaba y nos llevaba a la escuela a mis hermanas y a m\u00ed. Felices con nuestra nueva libertad, comenzamos a parar en el puesto de hot dogs El Gal\u00e1n de regreso a casa. La intenci\u00f3n era comer uno solo, pero nos comimos dos o tres hot dogs cada una. Con todo.<\/p>\n<p>El Gal\u00e1n no era realmente gal\u00e1n, pero sus hot dogs eran para morirte. Echaba aceite en la plancha caliente y doraba cebolla picada, jalape\u00f1os en escabeche y jitomates. Mientras se doraban, les echaba mostaza y catsup y un ingrediente secreto (luego supimos que era refresco de naranja) y mezclaba todo. Encima de eso pon\u00eda una rebanada de queso amarillo. Una vez que se derret\u00eda, met\u00eda todo en un pan y encima iba una <a href=\"http:\/\/fudusa.com\/producto\/turkey-franks-3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">salchicha de pavo<\/a> envuelta en tocino dorado. Si quer\u00edas tu hot dog especial, le agregaba un par de rebanadas extra de tocino dorado.<\/p>\n<p>Ya comidas nos \u00edbamos a casa, sin hambre. Una vez que mi pap\u00e1 se enter\u00f3 de lo que hac\u00edamos, le dio un billete de $100 pesos de aquellos tiempos a mi hermana mayor, y anunci\u00f3 que ya no pod\u00edamos comer lo que nos preparaba mi mam\u00e1 y que deb\u00edamos comer en El Gal\u00e1n durante todo ese mes. Obviamente est\u00e1bamos encantadas, aunque tratamos de no mostrarlo. Ahora entiendo lo que es poner una consecuencia como pap\u00e1, fracasar y luego no sabe c\u00f3mo quitarla.<\/p>\n<p>En cualquier caso, pronto dejamos de ir diario y los dejamos s\u00f3lo para los viernes, para no entristecer a mi mam\u00e1. Fue una \u00e9poca muy especial en nuestras vidas, y esos hot dogs eran incre\u00edbles.<\/p>\n<p>La vida continu\u00f3, nuestros padres se divorciaron y nosotros crecimos.<\/p>\n<p>30 a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s, y ah\u00ed estaba yo, comiendo hot dogs de Richard\u00b4s en Morelia. Unos minutos despu\u00e9s, regres\u00e9 al presente y reanudamos la filmaci\u00f3n. Mostr\u00e9 mi hot dog a la c\u00e1mara, com\u00ed un poco y compart\u00ed el resto. Despu\u00e9s de terminar el trabajo del d\u00eda, le ped\u00ed a Richard un hot dog extra. Fui a la camioneta, me sent\u00e9 en la parte de atr\u00e1s, cerr\u00e9 la puerta y me lo com\u00ed sola. Unos minutos despu\u00e9s, el director abri\u00f3 la puerta y me encontr\u00f3 llorando. A\u00f1ade las salchichas y cocina, volteando cada 2 minutos, hasta que est\u00e9n doradas por completo. Retira del fuego.<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-9409-step-0-2\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Para preparar la salsa especial, calienta el aceite a fuego medio en un sart\u00e9n mediano. A\u00f1ade la cebolla y acitrona, revolviendo de vez en cuando, durante 5 \u00f3 6 minutos. Agrega el jitomate y cocina durante 1 minuto aprox. Hasta se haya suavizado un poco. A\u00f1ade los jitomates, el catsup y la mostaza y cocina durante 1 minuto, s\u00f3lo hasta que se caliente. Retira del fuego.<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-9409-step-0-3\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Precalienta el horno y horno tostador a 175 C.<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-9409-step-0-4\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Mientras, abre los panes sin separarlos completamente. Pon el queso en el pan (al gusto) y pon los panes en una charola para hornear. Hornea de 2 a 3 minutos, hasta que el queso se haya derretido y y los panes est\u00e9n ligeramente tostados.<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-9409-step-0-5\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Pon una salchicha en la parte de abajo de los panes y encima una porci\u00f3n generosa de la salsa especial.
