Es una verdura con forma de pera. Ir\u00f3nicamente, tiene una textura similar a una pera no madura, aunque es menos granuloso. Los chayotes no son dulces, s\u00f3lo tienen un toque liger\u00edsimo de dulzura, por lo que su sabor es m\u00e1s neutral, entre una pera, un pepino y una calabacita. Definitivamente lo tienes que probar.<\/p>\n<p>Crujientes, refrescantes, sin grasa, con una textura limpia y fresca, los chayotes se pueden usar de muchas formas, como en sopas, como guarnici\u00f3n, ensalada fr\u00eda o rellena de varios ingredientes. Es com\u00fan cocinarlos al vapor hasta que est\u00e9n al dente, al menos de que se preparen rellenos.<\/p>\n<p>Hay muchos tipos de chayotes, en la foto est\u00e1n los m\u00e1s comunes y los m\u00e1s f\u00e1ciles de encontrar fuera de M\u00e9xico. Son de color y sabor suaves, con un gusto que se adapta a cualquier platillo.
