Aunque es m\u00e1s conocida por ser la base de la marinada para los platillos estilo pibil, se usa de muchas otras formas.<\/p>\n<p>Esta pasta est\u00e1 hecha de semillas de achiote, ajo rostizado, hierbas y especias tostadas como or\u00e9gano, clavos, comino, pimienta negra, pimienta gorda, semillas de comino, sal y naranja agria o su sustituto, que es una mezcla de jugos de c\u00edtricos y\/o vinagre.<\/p>\n<p>La pasta de achiote, como las semillas, tiene un color ladrillo, c\u00e1lido y bonito, y un sabor fuerte.
