Great Slaw! So very versatile. I use it instead of the standard deli type coleslaw all the time. Tonight it’s black bean and corn salad and this as the cabbage slaw side – with cornbread. It goes with every cuisine and plain old baked beans and corn on the cob with this is a summer meal.

    Hi Patti,
    Love your show.

I made up my own recipe for a Mexican style slaw and everyone askes for it.

Pretty much what yours is but I use lime juice instead of orange, skip the vinegar, add some finely chopped fresh jalapeño, cilantro, about 2T of sugar, some ground coriander & cumin about 1/4-1/2 tsp each (taste first & increase if you want). Otherwise same ingredients.

Great on especially fish tacos but also goes well with a nice marinated grilled flank steak, trip tip, chicken, etc. (I tend to marinate a bit spicy.)

Enjoy your trip to Peru. My husband was from Quito Ecuador another great place to visit.
