1/2cupfreshly squeezed lime juice, or more to taste
1/2cupwater, or more as needed to thin out
1tablespoonolive oil
1garlic clove, finely chopped
1/2teaspoondried oregano
1/4teaspoonground cumin
1/4teaspoonground allspice
1/4teaspoonchipotle chile powder
1teaspoonkosher salt, or to taste
Pinch offreshly ground black pepper
To Prepare
Whisk together all the ingredients in a small bowl. If the sauce isn’t smooth and thin enough to be drizzled over the tacos, add a bit more water to thin it out, or more lime juice if you’d like it a bit more sour.
The sauce can be kept, tightly covered, in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
