Hi Patti, love your show I’m making the Chile charred -pork do I drain off the vinegar after it’s marinated for the hour and a half?

No Steve, do not drain it, just make sure you just cover the pork with vinegar to marinate, do not over do it, it should be no more than 1/3 of a cup 🙂

It is just so exciting to start viewing this latest episode. I have been watching Pati for her entire tv adventure and I am so proud of what she has done. My wife is no longer with me, but when she was here were saw all of the episodes together and she loved Pati as do I. Pati blends her wonderful personality into her show and is proud to show off her family. It is just a wonderful time for rejoicing and watching her show off just how wonderful the people of Mexico are.
I have purchased the newest book and am anxious for it to arrive.

Thanks, Pati, for the recipe with the Panela cheese. I am going to the market today, so, I will definitely try this. I know it will be good with bolillios rolls, but my go to bread for now is sourdough (Less gluten). And, since, Fall is here I also am ready for some chili, so, Tex-Mex it is. You know, I cut out a quote years ago by, Julia Childs it said, quote, ‘The best people to be around are those who love to eat’ unquote. Well said, Julia, well said. Be safe, Pati, and good eating.

Dear Patti,
My wife and I really enjoy watching you cook and it’s inspired me to cook some of your recipes. Today I am doing your chili charred pork torta stuffed with panela cheese and pickled jalapenos. I have really gained an appreciation for Mexican cuisine by doing various recipes. They can be challenging because of all the the ingredients and steps it takes to produce the final dish but it is so worth the work.
Keep on doing what you do and Shelley and I will keep on watching.

While there were many steps, I spaced out the work over a few days and in the end it was a fairly easy recipe to follow. I also store bought my bolillos. My husband and I thought this recipe was delicious! Thank you for sharing Pati!
