Pickled Grape Salad Recipe from Pati's Mexican Table Season 9, Episode 10 Sabores Norteños"
Ingredients
- 2 cups Cotton Candy grapes, or green seedless grapes, halved
- 1 serrano chile, halved and thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons orange juice
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1 teaspoon lime zest
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds, toasted and crushed
- 1/2 red onion, sliced
- 1 rib celery, sliced
- 1 teaspoon kosher or sea salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup cilantro leaves, roughly chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves, roughly chopped
To Prepare
- In a medium bowl, toss the grapes with the serrano, lime and orange juices and zests, cumin, red onion, celery, salt and olive oil and toss until fully coated. Add the cilantro and mint and toss to incorporate.

I’m making this salad to go with your pork chop recipe. I was thinking that this would be great with a cucumber instead of the grapes. Or instead of lime and orange – use Rangpur limes (they are a cross between a lime and tangerine). We love your show. I especially loved your recent time in the Sonoran desert – I used to live in Tucson and in Sells – it brought back lots of memories. Can’t wait to travel again!!

I just made this last night with the pecan chicken and it was so good I’m going to make it again tomorrow. Maybe serve it over some butter lettuce this time. So so good.
