Ingredients

  • 1 to 2 large mangoes
  • 1/2 pineapple
  • 1/4 watermelon
  • 1 cucumber
  • 4 large carrots
  • 1 jicama
  • Dried ground chile such as piquí­n
  • 3 limes or more to taste
  • Kosher or sea salt to taste

To Prepare

  • Peel and slice the fruits and vegetables, you may do this ahead of time and store covered in the refrigerator. Sprinkle salt and chile to taste. Squeeze fresh lime juice on top. Mix and enjoy.

    Thank you soo much for reminding me about this. My 15 year old grandson loves this and in San Diego it’s very expensive at the Mexican fruit shops but I can make at home for him and his friends so they can stop eating those terrible extreme hot chips that are taking a toll on his stomach.
    Great when the watermelon is not especially sweet and won’t get thrown out. Thanks again
