Hola Pati, I hope you and your family are doing well. I wanted to thank you for this great recipe. I have been watching your show for such a long time but I never had the courage to make anything in fear of not doing a good job like you, but I finally did it I followed your easy steps and myself and my husband enjoyed this guacamole recipe. Thank you and your crew for all these great shows. Un fuerte Abrazo y Bendiciones de una fan.

    Hello Patti –
I am thrilled with your tv show and the exciting dishes you ferret out in your travels throughout Mexico. However, I can’t help but notice a very minimal use of cumin especially in your salsas, rellenos and guacamoles. I have always identified cumin (in healthy doses) as a signature spice in my attempts to impart an iconic Mexican flavor to my cooking. I would appreciate very much your guidance in this matter. Many thanks.

Hi Brian, thanks for reaching out. Cumin is delicious but I think it is a myth that it goes in every single Mexican recipe. I use it with care and add it just to certain salsas or meats.

Simple and easy, Pati. Made your Salsa de Guacamole to top your Shrimp, Bacon and Chickpea Tacos last night. They were delicious and amazing! The remainder of the Salsa stayed green and fresh in the refrigerator overnight. Yum!

I really enjoy the show, love the food and people you introduce us to. How do I pick out good tomatillo’s? I’ve made this recipe twice, it tastes wonderful. I’m learning the wonderful use of dried peppers from you too!

    Thank you,

    Dan

This holds so well in the refrigerator – it stays bright green and maintains a nice creamy consistency. Right now we have a lot of leftover turkey from the holidays – this sauce is terrific on a turkey sandwich!
